Update 10th June

Our Arctic Bearded Seal seems to be doing fine, despite being several thousand miles away for where she ought to be. She was up on the slip at the boatyard today (Sun 10th June) when we went to take out Marigot. She's still got the heat of full summer to contend with though...

Suspicions that she might only be a stuffed seal put here by Davy and Cadge to wind us up were quickly dispelled when she moved and seemed to wink at our HoU Bob Richmond who has got quite close to her.

The first Advanced Powerboat class this year. Dave Paterson gives the first of a two part powerpoint presentation on lights shown at night.

A talk on ropehandling and procedures for crew when coming alongside was given by Deryck Thomson. Helen expertly lands the rope into the "V" between the pencils...

Derek, Helen and Peter in the Powerboat level 2 class on launching and recovery of a trailered vessel.

Marigot and Badger did quite a few passenger carrying and training trips over the week from the Pilot Pier and Broughty Harbour.

Even in the roughest company a gentleman should not deviate from his path towards enlightenment. Chris studies the "Seamans guide to the Rule of the Road" and we instantly saw what kind of kid he'd been at school....

and yet..

..there's something pretty funny in this book that we've never noticed before.

Here Greg, wait 'till you see this, you'll like this one....
