Update 15th April
Shorebased training and ongoing restoration work continued on North Carr while Sparling and Badger were slipped at Newport for their annual refit/repaint. Practical training began in the small rib "Piglet" for the current Powerboat Level 2 group and the Advanced Powerboat group passed their assesment at RYA Port Edgar.
Congratulations to Peter Bartlett, Evelyn Walker, Lucy Marshall, Callum Grant, Deryck Thomson and Scott Bryson, not only for passing the Advanced assessment, but also for belting around the Firth of Forth in the dark in a responsible and competant manner. We're proud of you.

It's pretty funny when you get your boots stuck in your overalls.

Climbing up on things you're not supposed to be on top of is quite funny too...

but stealing the ladder? That is absolutely hilarious.

Here's the view from the end of the old Fyvie pier. As this is only accessible at low tide with a ladder, one of our members had plenty of time to take pictures, didn't he?.

Sparling is coming on now. The bottle of "Toffee Vodka", by the way, is unopened and has no connection with Bill Duncan.

Interesting weather at the old Fyvie pier. Sometimes it pays to remind ourselves that this is supposed to be a river.

Badger half way down the slip on her return to the water. Davy and Cadge fit the rope so the forklift can avoid losing traction on the seaweed.

You really need a faster shutter speed to photograph this man successfully. A rare photo of David Anderson.
