Strong winds forecast for today (Saturday 3rd) meant that we brought forward a scattering of ashes involving 2 vessels to the Friday to avoid going out in this. In the event it registered the lower end of force 10 at the weather station on land at Leuchars Airbase.

Badger and Marigot rolled a lot but the ropes were sufficient to hold them and were set correctly

A day to be on land certainly.

Waves at the Ferry were less than expected for this wind strength as the wind veered towards a WNW direction instead of a being more normal westerly or WSW when it blows hard

This shag was really struggling to keep going

Great effects of wind, water and light though, if you like that sort of thing.
