Dolphin Trips 14th June 2008

Exercise with Broughty Ferry Lifeboat 11th June 2008

Passenger Trips 12th, 13th July, Tay Estuary.

Look out, there’s a baby stuck to the windscreen.

It’s ok, she’s meant to be there.

The “Cultra” passes us after assisting “Overseas Sophie” to leave the Tay

Dolphins were around on both days and came up to Marigot, but they were mostly concerned with feeding.

Are they down there, Dave? In the water?

Ok, bye for now.

Trip to Montrose.

Ray turns Marigot in her own length inside Broughty Harbour at the beginning of the first trip to Montrose.

Two pods of dolphins were seen on the trip out of the Tay estuary.

Trish is first to spot the periscope.

It’s the Bell Rock Lighthouse.

Well we got here, now we can all take pictures of each other.

Gannets, guilliemots, razorbills, puffins, seals, and parrots were seen on this trip.

Linda and Bob bring Marigot in past Scurdie Ness lighthouse on the run in to Montrose.

Getting the fenders ready.

Back at the boatyard, our new Circus acts are progressing well....

Susan (who once had a goose called Beatrice) is training this swan to take off vertically.

In case of national emergency VTOL swans could be used in a variety of roles.

Le Circus Volontaire

We’ve already got an elephant and a few outrageous clowns....

Meanwhile, back at the coalface, Marigot takes more passengers around in the Tay.  As usual, the dolphins came up to say hello.

They’re not easy to photograph but hopefully....

Their breathing is forceful and can often be heard some distance away.

This isn’t Marigot’s wake, it’s a standing wave formed by the ebbing tide between Scotcraig Lighthouse and the Road Bridge. We’d never seen this before.

Once again the bridge was moving through the water faster than we were.

Heron and the Multis. (I lied about the parrots.)
