This weekend saw the last passenger carrying trips of the year for us. These included Badger's first chartered trip on the Saturday, reported in the Dundee Courier and Marigot's trips from Broughty Harbour on the 27th and 28th. Badger took out unit members and Taymara trainees on Sunday.

Friday

Friday was quite busy as we had to finish the last work on Badger to get her ready for her passenger trip the following day. Helen, an MVS Tay member from Manchester, got the train up on Thursday to help.

Ray and Bob re- fit the liferaft and secure with a new hydrostatic release while David takes a wee nap.

Actually, Helen only travelled up from Manchester to give Dennis a hug and get her photo taken with him. Love those A-lister gloves.

David woke up refreshed but unfortunately fell asleep again as he fitted Badger's window.

It was ok though, Helen took over and stabbed Ray in the hand.

Saturday

Last trip of the year. (Well almost the last)

This lady is a regular passenger on both Badger and Marigot.

Double leap - Saturday

Badger enjoyed final seatrials before her first passenger trip the following day

So did those on board.

Sunday

Both boats were out again on Sunday

Peter Osgood, R.N. and Merchant Navy at the helm of Badger

Peter took Badger to the Horseshoe Buoy and after holding station with Marigot for a while we saw some dolphins close on the port bow.

Thanks Peter.

Driving Badger?.....we all feel just like this, sir.

We're not sure how many generations joined us on the boats over the weekend but it spanned maybe eighty years and seemed a fitting culmination to a season spent sharing our time and boats on the water with others.
